This Lake Elmo, MN Deck Building project featured Timbertech/Azek PVC variable width decking paired with vertical cable railings and a deck board drink rail. The decking used Coastline as the main color with Dark Hickory as an accent for the picture frame and stairs. Additionally, a Trex RainEscape underdecking system was installed to divert rainwater to the outer edges of the deck into gutters and downspouts—perfect for supporting a finished ceiling with lighting or fans. This was a combination ‘redeck’ project where we preserved the original framing and expanded the deck to twice its size using new framing and footings. The footings included both helical piles and Diamond Pier DP50s.
