The Inver Grove Heights, MN Deck Building Project began when we received a contact form submission from a homeowner referred by a coworker, expressing interest in an estimate. After our initial free in-home consultation, we promptly provided a detailed estimate and were quickly given the go-ahead. The customer was particularly interested in replicating a porch design they admired from a neighbor. After revisiting the site with both the homeowner and their neighbor, we got to work bringing their vision to life.
With its unique challenge of 2 gabled roofs intersecting, this Inver Grove Heights deck building project was a testament to our team’s expertise. We successfully constructed a roof cricket to ensure proper drainage, and the project was completed to our satisfaction. The homeowners, who were a pleasure to work with, were not just satisfied, but delighted with the result. The overall experience, once the city approved the permit, was quite enjoyable. The project was completed in approximately 4 weeks, with a few off days due to weather.
The main decking is Trex Coastal bluff with Spiced Rum for the drink rail, and the railing is Trex Select traditional design. The porch roof has a white PVC tongue and groove, and the large screen openings are a product of our partner Screeneze with their ‘Tuff Screen,” which is only made possible by proper beam and support post design. The white PVC post wraps are well-designed Timbertech products and footings were installed by our partner Goliathtechmn along with standard Diamond Pier footings for the stair mid-landing.
