This was a complete demo and rebuild, with a slightly expanded footprint where we squared off an old notched corner. The homeowner requested all deck boards to run in the same direction, so we had to get creative with the framing layout. A larger-than-normal glulam beam was used to allow wider post spacing, enhancing the water view. The foundation was supported by approximately 12 Diamond Piers and 2 helical piles—used strategically where footing placement near landscaped retaining walls made DP installation impractical.
