This was a unique ‘redeck’ on a porch and deck, something we dont do often. The framing and porch structure remained and we basically covered everything in composite decking and railing. The existing porch supports were on top of the old wood decking so we had to jack up the porch to get the new decking boards installed. As usual the stair stringers were replaced to conform to the decking specifications which the inspectors follow diligently. We ended up returning about a year or so later to replace some decking the roofers scratched up during their project.
