This West Lakeland Township deck rebuild project is for a customer for whom we previously remodeled or ‘redecked’ the rear steps for a large rental property in St. Paul, MN. This deck rebuild was for their primary residence.

This project involved removing a 12’x12’ old wooden rear cedar deck and a small 11’x12’ rooftop bedroom deck and replacing both.  We replaced the decking with composite decking and the railing with horizontal cable with wedge lights and stair riser lights (the rooftop bedroom deck only had decking and framing replaced).  The homeowner designed everything from the diamond-shaped inlays (5 total) to the stone columns that match the house stone veneer and the stairs with the fancy mid-landing.  A ‘before’ picture is provided to see the awesomeness of this magnificent makeover.

The main decking is Timbertech/Azek PVC Coastline, a high-quality material known for its durability, and the accent is the same PVC but with dark hickory in color.  The railing is RailFX, another top-notch material, and the support posts are wrapped in LP siding.  We installed a number of wedge post lights and stair riser lights, all tied into one app-controlled transformer.  An under-decking system was installed to divert the rainwater to gutters and downspouts to protect a future patio below.  Our partner, GoliathtechMN, installed the helical pile footings. This is one of our largest decks to date.

We are thrilled with how this West Lakeland Township deck rebuild project turned out and are proud to share this transformation. If you’re interested in a custom deck remodel for your home, contact us today to get started! Let us help you create the outdoor space of your dreams.
